Luke Envoy Tonight

Luke Envoy has come all the way from the UK to play here in Montreal. Now, normally I'd post something a bit longer, especially about a gig like this but since I got a cold since yesterday I can't be bothered with it. I was going to go out to see Luke play but probably sadly won't.

The gig starts at 10 at Koi bar
3603 rue St-Laurent, corner of Prince Arthur

Bass Drive Tonight

First of all, thanks to everyone that helped me by filling out the poll!. Although we only have 22 votes so far it does show that another show is needed, so we'll see what happens about that.

Secondly, we have hit over 3,000 individual visitors. Thanks go out to all of you reading this right now, after all it's you that made this possible!

Alright now that that's covered, let's move on to tonight, Bass Drive. Djs Bliss and Blind will be playing back to back garage, electro funk and breaks. A special drum and bass guest is also supposed to play, who ever it is you'll have to find out for yourself. Resident dj Vilify is also leaving for 2 weeks after this show, so make to catch her at this show or else you'll have to wait till she comes back.

As always;

Apocalyptica, the same people that bring you FreedemBass, now bring you Cakestep with Max Ulis and Vilify. Tomorrow night for 15 bucks and also with visuals provided by Matt Williston

From Vancouver, Max Ulis has been Dj-ing for over 10 years and has a background in jungle, techno, and grime which then lead him to dubstep. Poll

A new poll was put online yesterday to see if people are interested and willing to pay for another dubstep event here in Montreal. Is the scene just really small and are there enough events, or, is the interest in dubstep growing rapidly and are there not enough events to support that. This poll was put online after having the idea for a while of putting together a dubstep event. The results of this poll, as you probably already guessed it ,will decide whether or not that will happen.

Thanks to everyone taking out there, and who knows, maybe a new event will be coming soon! (no promises)

And lastly here's another tune for you guys to enjoy:

Mutek_10: Nocturne 2

Tomorrow night Digital Mistyks' Mala will be making his Canadian debut right here in Montreal. Mala will be headlining at Mutek_10: Nocturne 2 together with Appleblim, Deadbeat and Moderat; Modeselektor and Apparat. Mala will not be the only one making his Canadian Dj-ing debut, Skull Disco co-founder Appleblim will also be playing here for the first time.

Great music at Metropolis tomorrow, and although 30 dollars is more than what you usually pay for a dubstep in the town, this will defininately be a night to remember. The doors open at 10 and close at 3:30, so five and an half hours shoould be fine for 30 bucks, right?

30 bucks:
Mala, Appleblim, Deadbeat and Moderat
